Scary/horror movies and books are my favorite genre to watch and read, especially during Halloween season. My mom always tried to force my family to watch scary movies with her, but I always ended up being the only person in the house who would agree. Halloween is my mom’s favorite
This movie created an ongoing trend with a masked killer hunting to kill crazy teenagers, leaving the virgins to survive. Another popular movie that had a ton of sequels like Halloween was Friday the Thirteenth. The plot was similar with a masked killer named Jason on the loose, killing teenagers for no real reason at all. I think that both of these stories scare me the most, because they make you realize that you need to be careful when you are at home or even in an environment where you believe nothing can hurt you. Also, they make me question what my decisions will lead to; partying may not cause my death, but it will have other not so great consequences.scary movie and it quickly became mine after watching it one Halloween night. The mentally unstable Michael Meyers always gave me the creeps with his white face mask, blue jumpsuit, and gigantic knife. Michael would never make a sound and never showed his face, which made him even scarier. Just when you thought that Jamie Lee Curtis was free from him at the end of the movie, he would be nowhere to be

Even though Michael Meyers and Jason are not considered your typical monsters, I believe that they are their own type of monster due to their serial killing ways. No person in their right mind would dress up in a mask and go off on a killing spree. They have always made me afraid to stay at home alone and to be extremely careful when I am babysitting; you never know who is watching you. The movies do not scare me when I am watching them, but I always get freaked out right after and get superstitious when I see a big, tall man alone outside. In today’s culture, most people would agree if they saw someone like this lurking around in the night. Masked people do not tend to give off the best vibes unless they are part of a parade or some sort of costume party.
